Dear Moderator and Members, is there any way we could possibly adopt two changes?  Please read below to see what I propose.

1)  That a date/time stamp be added to every post, so users can see at a glance when reading through a thread, the exact time an update to a ride, response to a question, etc, was posted.  there are many circumstances where this would be beneficial, I'm sure there's no need to belabor the point...

2)  Is there any way to archive or even remove older data, after  a certain time has elapsed?  I think this would reduce some clutter on the site, and people could sift through current or more relevant info, without having to try.

And yes, I do know I'm just a newbie.  But if you don't ask, you don't get.  So I'm asking, respectfully.  Thank you for your consideration.  Landon.

There's a time stamp for every post made.  If you scroll up you'll see the time and date with the << on: Today at 01:39:45 AM  >> on the upper right hand corner.  Not easily spotted but its there.

Oh and if the time stamp is wrong (i.e. 2 hours off) you just have to re-adjust the time settings in your profile.

Landon, you will learn to love the old stuff and find out how relevant it is, (that 'other' site keeps stuff for years).  There are times that I go digging for a RR to get info on the trailhead location etc. or there will be a thread on a mechanical fix that would be helpful NOW that I have 'that' issue.  Sometimes I'm looking for a member that I knew made a post in a certain thread.

And it's always fun to look back at the 'drunk' posts, amazing how your ability to type can be so severely affected, not to mention the next mornings ride Smiley

Thank you all for your answers.  I appreciate just being able to pose the question or air a comment.  I sincerely appreciate that this site even exists, let alone the fact that it's populated with some really cool folks.  I hope to see you all out on the trail, soonest...
